Grand Re-Opening: Atria Center City Undergoes a Complete Transformation

Share

Located in the heart of Philadelphia, Atria Center City offers the best of both worlds for older adults: a lively downtown residence with the comforts of home. Meyer provided architecture and interior design services for a multi-million dollar renovation to all common and support areas. An in-depth reprogramming effort and multi-phased construction plan lasted approximately 18 months while maintaining full occupancy with minimal disruption to residents.

“We are excited about the extensive enhancements to Atria Center City, which allow us to better serve our residents and their families in the larger Philadelphia community,” said Kevin Ronk, Senior Vice President for Atria Senior Living,. “We strive to go above and beyond to make Atria Center City a wonderful home.”

The project scope included a new and refreshed lobby, reception area, bistro, bar, dining room, wellness suite, fitness and rehabilitation area, library, technology center, beauty salon, theater, lounges, roof top deck, and administrative offices. A major component of the renovation was the incorporation of a new, 16-apartment Life Guidance® memory care neighborhood with upgrades to all spaces including the solarium, kitchen, dining room, activity room, lounge and library.
